The Earths Whisper

This beautiful lady has been named, The Earths Whisper because the land has left her finger prints on her. When we were cutting this stone from a rough piece of opal we noticed the potch lines starting to show..

Most people usually wouldn't bother about polishing or setting a stone like this but I saw her beauty! We all have imperfections and instead of trying to hide them, lets celebrate them, so we are celebrating this stone by setting her in one of our beloved butterfly pendants. 

This generously sized Lightning Ridge Opal is striking, the green/blue colours are bold & deep and it truly is one of a kind. The lines you see on the face of this opal are potch lines not cracks

Here is the background story of my butterfly pendant creations..

It all started when a butterfly fluttered her way into our truck out on the opal fields, with her appearance came a flooding of memories & inspiration and my butterfly collection was birthed..

As I make these gorgeous pendants I can feel the energy of my grandmother wrap her celestial wings around me, she always told us stories about the butterflys on the opal fields & how they lead the miners (my grandfather) to their treasures. How lucky am I to be able to keep their stories & wisdom alive through our stones and jewellery!
